A King is Humbled

A King is Humbled

A King is Humbled

Here stands the king that the God of heaven had given a kingdom, power, strength, glory and  made ruler over all men,  beasts and birds. But we find  in chapter 4 of Daniel ( actually written by this great king Nebuchadnezzar) , that he had to be humbled by the mighty hand of the Almighty. Twelve months before,  he was given a dream that was interpreted by his trusted advisor, Daniel, and at the same time was encouraged to repent of his many sins and to start showing mercy to the poor….but he did not .  So, at the end of a year while the king was walking in his garden and pridefully admiring his handiwork, a voice fell from heaven  declaring that he would be driven from men for seven years and  was to live with the beasts of the field, eating grass like oxen;…” his body wet with the dew of heaven till his hair had grown like eagle’s feathers and his nails like bird’s claws”.  At the end of the seven years he lifted his eyes to heaven and his understanding returned to him and he blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever.  All was restored to him , and excellent majesty was added to him.

  1. Undeniably consider that that you stated. Your favorite reason appeared to
be on the internet the simplest thing to be mindful of.
I say to you, I certainly get irked at the same time as other people think about
worries that they just don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the highest and outlined out the entire thing with no need side-effects , other folks could take a signal. Will probably be again to get more. Thank you
